Collaborative Art Project

The Artist Ideas Pool
Saturday the 25th of October was a funfilled creative day working alongside some lovely artists to produce paintings on a 10metre canvas.  The project took place at the I'klectik Cafe and Gallery near Waterloo station.  The theme of the work we made was inspired by Paul Gauguin's "Where do we come from? What Are we? Where are we going?"  The aim of the project is to raise awareness for CALM, the campaign against living miserably, a charity dedicated to preventing male suicide, the biggest killer of men aged under 50 in the UK.  The work can currently be seen at the I'klectik Cafe and Gallery, and then the 10metre canvas will be cut and each piece will be auctioned off individually to raise money for CALM.

Building trees in galleries

No picnic
The last couple of months have been pretty hectic, apparently carting logs to and fro builds muscle definition. So not only an artist but a weight lifter too, multi-skilled that's me.  I can't really blame anyone else though as it was my idea after all to build a semi forest indoors for my installation using real logs.  Our open studios at ASC Kingston had a great turn out and I sold several works and made some useful connections, it also seems to be the only time of year I can see my studio floor, between the logs that is.  People and Places at Espacio gallery was also well attended and folks were spilling out onto the Shoreditch street, mind you it was a warm sultry evening.  Both events had really good feedback which is very encouraging.  Thank you to all those who who able to attend ether or both shows.  I look forward to meeting new faces and seeing old ones at my next show in December.
